I’ve been talking a lot about the concept of input vs. output lately.

I first heard it in these terms from Rich Schefren.

Most people tend to focus on way more input i.e. devouring education, training after
training rather than emphasizing on the output, the action, the implementation of all that new knowledge.

For the last few months I’ve certainly have been the other way around where I started to
feel like I seriously needed some more input.

Creating a balance between the two and finding the “sweet spot” should be the goal.

So today, while I encourage you to spend time on output, make sure you get in some
good quality input too
.

There’s all sort of flashy distractions out there when it comes to input.

What you want to make sure is that you’re getting your daily input from a reliable and
quality source, plus on training that actually matters for the progress of your business.

The training that I’m devouring today is focusing on TRAFFIC.

I think we all know that without traffic, there’s no leads, nor there’re sales.

And this industry has been a little bit on a dry traffic spell ever since the Google slap.

What True Love and Real Success Have in Common?

How would you like to tap into the secrets that will allow you to not only attract real love in your life but also true, powerful and tangible success in your business? Would that make you happy, and give you everything you’ve always wanted?

Good, because what I am about to reveal are the two most fundamental secrets that not only work for love but true business success as well, and when you apply and follow to a tee will 100% guarantee that you will get both.

So here is how this article got inspired.

Last week I listened to a tele-class by Maria Andros with her guest Annie Lalla, a love and relationship coach who recently had a fairy tale wedding with the love of her life Eben Pagan. I’d watched a clip of them exchanging their vows, and the powerful energy of love that could be felt in the room, even through my computer screen, gave me goose bumps.

On the call, Annie talked about some of her fundamental secrets to attracting true love into your life and how she also successfully did it.

One thing you must first realize is that  “everything you do is either pulling love towards you or pushing it away, there is no middle ground”. 

And it all begins first on an internal level. It begins with your emotions that create thoughts that create reality.

How are you feeling and what are the thoughts that are pushing love away from you?

Do you believe that you deserve real love, and that it’s possible for you?

There’s a reason why Annie’s number one fundamental and most important secret to finding true love is that “you have to believe true love is possible in order to find it.”

So #1 BELIEF!

And if you have not found true love yet, you must start looking deep inside for the cynic in you, the part of you that just does not believe true love is possible, or that you deserve finding real love.

And if you are not able to find that cynic in you, than you have to just keep on looking deeper because the “best disguise for a cynic to hide in is in an avid believer”.

If you are not finding the cynic in you then you are not looking hard enough. If you don’t have love in your life, it’s because you don’t believe it’s possible.

No matter how much you think you want love, there are parts of you, that are afraid of it and you don’t want it. But this is all unconscious.

We do this all the time. We eat things we know are bad for us, say and do things we don’t want to say and do and so on.

So what you want to do is identify what are those limiting beliefs and what thoughts you have that are keeping you away from surrendering to love.

So get into your mind and find out how are you unconsciously sabotaging getting true love?

One effective way to do this is ask the question “What might you lose that you value if you find true love?”

We are all afraid of love for different reasons, and as long as we keep being afraid without knowing about it, that part will secretly continue to sabotage your dream of being in love.

So “What might you lose that you value if you find true love?”

I was thinking pretty hard on this question… and I am willing to open up and be vulnerable here… and I hope this would allow you to do the same.

I tried to identify my limiting beliefs and the conclusion I came to is that the biggest thing for me that I value that I am afraid to lose is trust!

When I am alone or I have walls up around my heart keeping true love away, I know I can trust myself, there’s no one there to hurt me.

But if I am in a relationship and surrender to true love, I open my heart fully to love; I am afraid that I might get hurt, that something might happen that will break my trust in the other person. I realize that when true love is present you must surrender and fully trust the other person, and this is the hardest thing for me to do, because my biggest fear is that I will lose that trust.

What is your biggest fear?

Losing your freedom perhaps? That’s a big one for guys.

The reason why I am opening here, which took a lot of guts, is because when you share you allow for the old patterns and limiting beliefs to slowly dissolve. You acknowledge them and it’s easier to let go. You become aware of them, and it’s easier to know when you are coming from a place of fear and when you are coming from a place of surrender and trust, and then you can make the conscious decision to go forward in the more empowering for love way, leading with trust.

I hope you share your fears here too or at least with someone you feel comfortable, for the reasons I mentioned.

This will be the first step to pulling love toward you instead of the other way around.

The second step is to never, never, ever give up, never settle for anything smaller than true love. 

Steve Jobs said it just right: “Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle. -Steve Jobs

Start taking risks, surrender and allow yourself to belief in love even with whatever fears you have in you, they will slowly dissolve as you bring them up to the surface.

Know that without risk you’ll always be playing small and never really ever feel truly fulfilled.

Yes you may get hurt, but you also may have just found the love of your life.

Now how is this related to Success?

Well, just like with love you have to belief in success in order to create it. That’s the #1 fundamental secret!

And if you don’t have the level of success you desire in your life, then again you have to go through the same process just like with love and look for the cynic in you. Find out what those limiting beliefs are related to success that are keeping you away from it.

Identify them, and then just let go of them. Release, surrender and take the risk to take action and go forward despite those fears.

 

Find that little flame of belief inside you and blow hard on it, make it burn!

Take a chance, take the risk to go all out and make success a part of who you are.

Entrepreneurship is about taking risks.

Barbara Walters did an excellent special last week on self-made billionaires.

Her first guest was Guy Laliberte, founder of Cirque du Soleil. Laliberte, who has a net worth of $2.5 billion, struggled early in his career as a street performer in Montreal before venturing out as an entrepreneur. Today, his multibillion-dollar business showcases in 271 cities worldwide, employing tens of thousands of people in the process.

When Walters asked Laliberte if he still takes risks, he quickly responded, “Every day.”

So take the risk too! I am going all out, are you?

About a couple of weeks ago… I was getting ready to fly to Florida for the Live 
The Dream event. 

It’s about midnight, and I was still packing my bag. I had to be at the airport at 5:30 am.

Shower… check
Suitcase… zipped

Doorbell??? Not expecting that one…

“Who can be in this late hour? I am not expecting anyone, and people don’t show up
at my door unannounced like that at midnight.”

You see I’m currently staying in a 6 floor building, the common what we call “block” in
Bulgaria built during the Soviet union kind of old building. And let’s just say the isolation of the walls can feel like a Chinese torture chamber.

So I open the door, and whom do I see – An angry looking woman in her PJ’s, my neighbor from the top floor. She starts yelling at me furiously, “I am tired of this circus. Your house is like a “wh*re house”… (literally she said that) I hear all this moaning every
night… it’s unacceptable… I have to go to work tomorrow and I can’t fall asleep.”

“Hmm, wow… moaning… what is this woman talking about?” I was in shock a little bit, because there was no noise that I could hear myself, and I was in the actual apartment.

She was either crazy or some of the other neighbors were just making “nicee nice” with
each other if you know what I mean? :)

I politely excused myself and sent her off and started thinking…

Wow, a while back, I would have probably gotten myself all wrapped up in the drama of this lady, probably would have started fighting with her and would have consumed my
time, thoughts, energy for maybe even days to come, sharing this story with friends,
complaining about the woman, maybe even making some actual real noise, to get her
even more pissed off for knocking on the wrong door. You get it.

But not now!

I now know what the consequences for allowing that sort of energy into my life are.

You see, this is called drama… and most people try to drag you into their drama so
they are not miserable alone. Miserable, although the ego deep inside is quite satisfied and that’s why it’s hard to let go of the drama, unless you become highly aware of what’s happening and how much automatic the response to run toward drama has become over the years.

Just think about it… Do you have people in your life who constantly live for the drama
and try to involve others in it too?

I know some and I tend to stray away from them. Some are very easily identified… they
are always dealing with something… flat tire, somebody broke their house window,
they are always in some sort of pain, they are always late for work, dealing with some
sort of disease, etc., etc.

Unfortunately, the majority of our society lives in their daily personal drama, they live FOR the drama.

But if you are in business, and you consider yourself an entrepreneur I highly encourage
you to become alert and aware of whether you’ve got your “daily drama pattern” on. I am serious!

Drama is ok for people with a J.O.B, especially if they hate it. Hey maybe it’s
even good for them, it keeps them entertained, and distracted from their miserable reality of doing something that they don’t love. Just playing…

Drama isn’t good for anyone. 
It’s just a beautiful way to keep yourself distracted from what truly matters.
Maybe you don’t knock on your neighbors door trying to pick a fight, or have a black 
cloud following you around type of drama always raining on you.

But here is some of the drama that I see many entrepreneurs get involved in, and I’ve 
Done it plenty of times…

Let’s call it mindset drama… negative chatter, or should I say limiting beliefs and excuses.

Let’s be honest, these are just pure laziness in disguise. But sometimes they are 
legit. I shouldn’t say legit, but more so habitual thoughts that just need a little 
bit more consistent effort and desire to get rid of.

Some of my “drama” or limiting beliefs in the past have been telling myself “I am not
confident, I am not good at connecting with people, or I am not a good writer, I am not
good on the phone, I don’t feel confident in teaching others and creating my own products, or I am not a good presenter, I am scared of getting on a webinar, I won’t 
succeed”… etc., etc.

I am sure that if you haven’t obtained the success you want in your business, you most
likely have some of these or similar limiting beliefs. Similar drama that goes on in your
mind, that most likely attracts real tangible drama in your life that keeps you away and
prevents you from taking real results-producing action.

This is real simple stuff if you think about it and break it down to the core of where
inaction and distraction come from.

The challenge is that sometimes it’s very subtle, it goes on in our subconscious mind
very quietly, you could hardly hear it… and that’s why you must truly LISTEN.

Now, I know you’re like me if you are still reading this email and you don’t want to
keep being stuck.

All the time, you think about a way out of the misery and anguish you put yourself in every single day, that prevents you from taking action toward achieving that financial
freedom and happiness you want in your life.

What is a marketing funnel? And Why Should You Build One?

A Marketing Funnel is the foundation of your business. It allows you to multiply your income by marketing your products with the same amount of energy and time invested.

Imagine a funnel with the wide end at the top and the narrow end at the bottom. And your goal as an entrepreneur and marketer is to drive as many people through the funnel from one end to the other.

Your funnel structure can vary, but you’ll make the most money, by investing the same amount of energy to drive the traffic, if you have multiple products set up in your funnel.

Here is an example of what a successful marketer’s funnel might look like. It’s very likely you’ve been through one of these or you’ll be through one eventually. (when you go through a funnel next time, go ahead and study it… Don’t fall entirely into the marketing trap… Be conscious that you are being marketed to, admire the process and learn from it, so that you can duplicate it.)

So a marketing funnel might look like this. In fact, let’s imagine for a second that this is your successful marketing funnel.

1) First you offer a free item such as an Ebook, Report, video training series…

2) Once your prospects have exchanged their information (email) i.e. opted in, you can now sell them your low and mid-priced product or service.

3) Moving on, now that they have handed you their credit card and paid for your product, you can continue the what’s called a “1 Click Upsell” process, by offering other products or OTO’s (One Time Offers)… These are called Upsells and Downsells. Usually, the upsells are higher priced than the first product and downsells are offered when the customer declines the Upsells or in addition to their purchase of the Upsells.

If this sounds too complicated for you, don’t get overwhelmed.

Realize that developing a fully expanded funnel takes time, effort, commitment, and willingness to reach higher levels or leadership and income.

(As a side note: That’s the kind of funnel that also attracts great and profitable JV partnerships.)

This is all achievable and can make you a lot of money if you go for it. But making a huge leap sometimes like this could be a tough route for someone who’s just getting started and doesn’t have the experience.

However, a small leap makes a lot more sense and progress could be made much faster. Just like with anything in life. If you’re trying to lose wight by running, you wouldn’t start with 20 miles if you’ve never run 2 miles in your life. You’ll start in steps.

What I teach my students and clients is to begin with their free (for leads generation) and low end products (for monetization) first and go from there. And if you are my client, that’s what I would tell you to do too.

The biggest mistake that I see online marketing entrepreneurs make out there is that they are afraid to jump and join the leaders in this industry by embracing the courage and creating their own assets – their own products. It seems scary, there’s self esteem issues, there’s that limiting belief of “Oh I am not an expert” or “I don’t know enough yet”.

If any of this is going through your mind, just take it out of there and throw it in the garbage. Realize that this is achievable for you too.

In fact, you know that you’ve been wanting to step up for a long time, and now it’s time to step out of that fear and into courage. You too can have your name and face printed on your own product design, you too can share with the world all that knowledge that’s inside of you. And if you feel like there’s nothing you can teach, don’t worry. There’s a way we’ll help you dig it out and make it available for the many who are out there desperately needing your leadership and guidance.

2 ways not to be cheesy in your marketing

With so many people out there marketing their business the “old school” way, I wanted to take the time to write this post about the cheese in people’s marketing.

There is a “new school” way of marketing your business. While the old way is out, there are still loads of people who still have plenty of cheese in their marketing. Hare a 2 cheesy examples that you might want to steer clear of.

1. Have you ever thought that you were going to either connect with someone on Facebook or Skype like “real people” do, only to be pitched a product or service right off that bat. This is just one example of cheese marketing and a pretty common one in fact.

This way is actually kind of sneaky and comes disguised usually as someone who is “pretending” friendship in an attempt to drop a bucket of cheese on your head by pitching you that whole time while clearly not caring anything about you or your concerns whatsoever.

2. Lets call this the “my product is the greatest thing ever created in the history of all mankind” technique. I’m sure you’ve seen this one because it might be the most common.

The problem is that most people see traditional marketing out there like Coke or Nike and think that they should be copying what they do. Bad move. Get this straight. Your business is not Coke or Nike, nor should it be compared to any of these companies.

Companies that large have so much brand awareness already, they are only marketing to keep the brand in front of your face. It’s ubiquitous in a way. They are no marketing to solve their customer problems which is what you should be doing. They are simple marketing because if they don’ keep the brand in front of your face, you WILL forget about them. Yes, even big names like Nike and Coke.

It’s important to be your authentic self in your marketing or you’ll quickly turn off your prospects and soil your brand in a hurry. So create marketing that actually helps people solve their problems. This is a much better way to get people to like, trust and ultimately buy from you.
