A Valentine from me to you…

Happy Valentines Day!

It’s the international day of LOVE and while I feel that every day should be the day of LOVE, every single moment should be filled with LOVE, it’s good to have a day as this to remind us to LOVE, to focus on loving.
It’s good to have such a day, because unfortunately in this fast paced society overtaken by the ego, it becomes very easy to forget who we are and that deep within our core we are all LOVE.
We dream of being loved and being in love and essentially it all starts with loving ourselves.
Whether you have someone special in your heart to spend this day and do something fun and romantic with or you are alone in this moment, make sure you enjoy every bit of it.
And every bit of every day for that matter.
Realize that first and foremost you must love yourself and who you are, and only then are you truly able to love others, and attract love towards and around you.
So practice self-love on a daily basis.
Practice, inhaling deeply with a loving feeling, connecting with your heart, focusing your attention on your heart’s energy and imagining it filling up with light and love…Then imagine shiny sparkles of love entering into your body and all around it, filling your entire body reaching every cell making it vibrate with excitement.
Be loving to yourself, treat yourself with love and respect. And that’s all you’ll start attracting into your life.
I recently recorded a video, that i feel is perfect for the occasion.
So watch it below and let me know what you think:
I love you!
w/Love, Courage and Compassion,
DiDi

Precious real estate on FB… you get it for free!

Recently Facebook introduced their Timeline… their brand new look for your profile.

The slogan for it is “Tell your life story with a new kind of profile”…

And it is definitely optimized for  you to easily be able to share important, fun, and memorable life events with your friends and even include them in on it.

From your birth, to first kiss, getting engaged, meeting an influential person in your life, first job, graduation, getting married, having your first, second and third child… and the list goes on….

I haven’t spend much time going back and entering any events really, but when I recently lost a client to leukemia, I didn’t want to ever forget about him and the amazing and giving, and energetic person he was… I did create a special space for him on my Timeline.

It was a truly sad event, and writing this got me sobbing again.

But it’s not the purpose of this email.

I just noticed that only about 1450 of my close to 5000 friends, have activated their Timeline.

So that means that there’s a big chance you haven’t done it as well.

I know, so many of us are afraid of all the changes that Facebook, introduces.

But if you are in business, I want to share with you just one of the reasons why I love my Timeline better than my old profile.

With the new Timeline you now have more precious real estate to advertise your business or anything you want to really. And you can easily through images express yourself and who you are.

And you do this by the very first huge image at the top of your profile.

It’s called the cover.

You can use any image from your FB albums, or upload a brand new one, or there are plenty of sites, that offer great, fun and funny and cool covers. Just search for FB covers on Google.

But if you’re in business you might want to use your cover a bit more wisely.

You can use it just like a Billboard, that advertises you and your brand, your website, an online or offline event, a brand new product, your FB business page… or anything else.

And as you can see in the image below, I’m utilizing it quite effectively to promote my upcoming online webinar. Check it out:

So if you haven’t activated your Timeline but you’re in business, not only do you want to show you are staying ahead of the curve with the newest technologies, but you also want to start utilizing it in the most effective way. So just make the move… it’s not so scary!

How much time do you spend on Facebook?

Based on some of the latest stats you may easily be spending anywhere between 1 and 3 hours on Facebook each day.

Yikes! That’s a lot of time…

Question is, how much of that time you spend is actually productive and with the clear purpose to create results in your business?

Perhaps indeed your intentions and attempts are to accomplish exactly that, to create results and be productive, but it isn’t working quite like that, is it?

I want to change this for you, and help you spend a lot less time on Facebook that what you’re spending right now, but make it three times as lucrative for your business than it is rigth now.

I am putting together a webinar this Saturday the 11th at NOON PST, where you’ll discover how you can totally leverage Facebook in 2012 and create consistent visibility, engagement and profitability for your business with a simple, easy and leveraged strategy.

2 ways not to be cheesy in your marketing

With so many people out there marketing their business the “old school” way, I wanted to take the time to write this post about the cheese in people’s marketing.

There is a “new school” way of marketing your business. While the old way is out, there are still loads of people who still have plenty of cheese in their marketing. Hare a 2 cheesy examples that you might want to steer clear of.

1. Have you ever thought that you were going to either connect with someone on Facebook or Skype like “real people” do, only to be pitched a product or service right off that bat. This is just one example of cheese marketing and a pretty common one in fact.

This way is actually kind of sneaky and comes disguised usually as someone who is “pretending” friendship in an attempt to drop a bucket of cheese on your head by pitching you that whole time while clearly not caring anything about you or your concerns whatsoever.

2. Lets call this the “my product is the greatest thing ever created in the history of all mankind” technique. I’m sure you’ve seen this one because it might be the most common.

The problem is that most people see traditional marketing out there like Coke or Nike and think that they should be copying what they do. Bad move. Get this straight. Your business is not Coke or Nike, nor should it be compared to any of these companies.

Companies that large have so much brand awareness already, they are only marketing to keep the brand in front of your face. It’s ubiquitous in a way. They are no marketing to solve their customer problems which is what you should be doing. They are simple marketing because if they don’ keep the brand in front of your face, you WILL forget about them. Yes, even big names like Nike and Coke.

It’s important to be your authentic self in your marketing or you’ll quickly turn off your prospects and soil your brand in a hurry. So create marketing that actually helps people solve their problems. This is a much better way to get people to like, trust and ultimately buy from you.
