Happy Valentines Day!

Recently Facebook introduced their Timeline… their brand new look for your profile. 

The slogan for it is “Tell your life story with a new kind of profile”…

And it is definitely optimized for  you to easily be able to share important, fun, and memorable life events with your friends and even include them in on it.

From your birth, to first kiss, getting engaged, meeting an influential person in your life, first job, graduation, getting married, having your first, second and third child… and the list goes on….

I haven’t spend much time going back and entering any events really, but when I recently lost a client to leukemia, I didn’t want to ever forget about him and the amazing and giving, and energetic person he was… I did create a special space for him on my Timeline. 

It was a truly sad event, and writing this got me sobbing again. 

But it’s not the purpose of this email. 

I just noticed that only about 1450 of my close to 5000 friends, have activated their Timeline. 

So that means that there’s a big chance you haven’t done it as well. 

I know, so many of us are afraid of all the changes that Facebook, introduces. 

But if you are in business, I want to share with you just one of the reasons why I love my Timeline better than my old profile. 

With the new Timeline you now have more precious real estate to advertise your business or anything you want to really. And you can easily through images express yourself and who you are.

And you do this by the very first huge image at the top of your profile.

It’s called the cover. 

You can use any image from your FB albums, or upload a brand new one, or there are plenty of sites, that offer great, fun and funny and cool covers. Just search for FB covers on Google. 

But if you’re in business you might want to use your cover a bit more wisely.

You can use it just like a Billboard, that advertises you and your brand, your website, an online or offline event, a brand new product, your FB business page… or anything else.

About a couple of weeks ago… I was getting ready to fly to Florida for the Live 
The Dream event. 

It’s about midnight, and I was still packing my bag. I had to be at the airport at 5:30 am.

Shower… check
Suitcase… zipped

Doorbell??? Not expecting that one…

“Who can be in this late hour? I am not expecting anyone, and people don’t show up
at my door unannounced like that at midnight.”

You see I’m currently staying in a 6 floor building, the common what we call “block” in
Bulgaria built during the Soviet union kind of old building. And let’s just say the isolation of the walls can feel like a Chinese torture chamber.

So I open the door, and whom do I see – An angry looking woman in her PJ’s, my neighbor from the top floor. She starts yelling at me furiously, “I am tired of this circus. Your house is like a “wh*re house”… (literally she said that) I hear all this moaning every
night… it’s unacceptable… I have to go to work tomorrow and I can’t fall asleep.”

“Hmm, wow… moaning… what is this woman talking about?” I was in shock a little bit, because there was no noise that I could hear myself, and I was in the actual apartment.

She was either crazy or some of the other neighbors were just making “nicee nice” with
each other if you know what I mean?

I politely excused myself and sent her off and started thinking…

Wow, a while back, I would have probably gotten myself all wrapped up in the drama of this lady, probably would have started fighting with her and would have consumed my
time, thoughts, energy for maybe even days to come, sharing this story with friends,
complaining about the woman, maybe even making some actual real noise, to get her
even more pissed off for knocking on the wrong door. You get it.

But not now!

I now know what the consequences for allowing that sort of energy into my life are.

You see, this is called drama… and most people try to drag you into their drama so
they are not miserable alone. Miserable, although the ego deep inside is quite satisfied and that’s why it’s hard to let go of the drama, unless you become highly aware of what’s happening and how much automatic the response to run toward drama has become over the years.

Just think about it… Do you have people in your life who constantly live for the drama
and try to involve others in it too?

I know some and I tend to stray away from them. Some are very easily identified… they
are always dealing with something… flat tire, somebody broke their house window,
they are always in some sort of pain, they are always late for work, dealing with some
sort of disease, etc., etc.

Unfortunately, the majority of our society lives in their daily personal drama, they live FOR the drama.

But if you are in business, and you consider yourself an entrepreneur I highly encourage
you to become alert and aware of whether you’ve got your “daily drama pattern” on. I am serious!

Drama is ok for people with a J.O.B, especially if they hate it. Hey maybe it’s
even good for them, it keeps them entertained, and distracted from their miserable reality of doing something that they don’t love. Just playing…

Drama isn’t good for anyone. 
It’s just a beautiful way to keep yourself distracted from what truly matters.
Maybe you don’t knock on your neighbors door trying to pick a fight, or have a black 
cloud following you around type of drama always raining on you.

But here is some of the drama that I see many entrepreneurs get involved in, and I’ve 
Done it plenty of times…

Let’s call it mindset drama… negative chatter, or should I say limiting beliefs and excuses.

Let’s be honest, these are just pure laziness in disguise. But sometimes they are 
legit. I shouldn’t say legit, but more so habitual thoughts that just need a little 
bit more consistent effort and desire to get rid of.

Some of my “drama” or limiting beliefs in the past have been telling myself “I am not
confident, I am not good at connecting with people, or I am not a good writer, I am not
good on the phone, I don’t feel confident in teaching others and creating my own products, or I am not a good presenter, I am scared of getting on a webinar, I won’t 
succeed”… etc., etc.

I am sure that if you haven’t obtained the success you want in your business, you most
likely have some of these or similar limiting beliefs. Similar drama that goes on in your
mind, that most likely attracts real tangible drama in your life that keeps you away and
prevents you from taking real results-producing action.

This is real simple stuff if you think about it and break it down to the core of where
inaction and distraction come from.

The challenge is that sometimes it’s very subtle, it goes on in our subconscious mind
very quietly, you could hardly hear it… and that’s why you must truly LISTEN.

keep being stuck.

Ok, so let’s say you don’t have your own product, not doing coaching and consulting  and not building a dowline yet.

How can you benefit from doing Affiliate Promotions when big launches like the current “MLM Launch Formula“, “The Unified Tribe” or “MLM Blog Secrets” comes around? How can you benefit knowing the “launch formula” and using it to get your business to the next level through affiliate promotions?

Well, let me share how I have benefitted from doing Affiliate Promotions using the “launch formula”.

I do coaching, but I haven’t had my own product or building an MLM downline at the moment.

So I haven’t launched my own product yet, but where I’ve had the chance to use the launch formula very successfully is by doing affiliate promotions when product launches like these one comes around. Don’t get me wrong, having your own product to launch is your best bet to trully getting your business to the next level. And this is most definitely where I am headed, now that time allows it. But in the meantime you can benefit in at last 3 ways by promoting products and particualrly during the launch period, that you believe in and see value for your prospects in.

The 3 Benefits to Doing Affiliate Promotions Using the Launch Formula

#1. You generate cashflow to keep funding you business. When you make sales, in other words, everytime someone purchases through your link whatever the product is that you are promoting, then you will make a commission. They usually go around 40-50% of the amount of the actual product cost. And I think that getting a few checks in the mail is a great benefit. I love membership systems for instance because the benefits are residuals and you can promote it once during launch and then bare the benefits for a long time.

#2. You generate leads, in other words you build your email list. When you get your unique affiliate link for the product you’re going to be promoting,  it usually either leads to a  lead capture page and/or a sales page. So for instance the common thing is before any product launch, before the doors open to the product, for the page to be a lead capture page offering something of value in exchange of the email address of your prospect. Once the prospects fill in the form, they are taken to the thank you page, which nowadays is also called a “goodies” page with lots of value, education and information on the topic which presells the person and prepares them for the moment when the product actually opens doors. The leads are generated in the your account in the affiliate system where you can copy and paste them into your email management system.

#3. If you reach the affiliates leaders board it could be the easiest way to gain popularity, authority and a rock star status in your industry.

So for instance I’ve been able to use the launch formula successfully and be one of the TOP affiliates for the big April of 09  Renegade Professional launch.

Last month I was also number 4 Top affiliate for Katie Freiling’s brand new launch of the Unified Tribe right after Mike Dillard, Jonathan Budd and Mike Klingler on the leaders board.

And now again I am on the leader board of the MLM LAUNCH Formula.

And this is no small deal, to me anyways. In a way it could be more beneficial than the first 2 benefits.

This gives you a really powerful position in the market.  The market will start to view you as an expert or a guru even if they’ve never heard of you before,  you will gain authority and credibility instantly.

And that’s really important because if you look at it, once people consider you an expert or a guru, well you are basically like a celebrity or a rock star in the industry. Do you think he is one of the best paid therapyst in the world? I bet you are nodding your head in agreement right now. And that’s because his popularity. He is a celebrity.

Once you gain guru status you are going to make a lot more money than the other people in the market. In fact scratch the financial benefits and just the rock star status you’ll gain from having gone through the launch formula process will be well worth your while.

And so if you’re just getting started and are not ready to create your own product yet, or don’t have a coaching practice yet or you’re  not building an mlm either, then you can very well use the launch formula this way too by participating in affiliate contests.
